Product overview

PSA Semiquant detects prostate-specific antigen, a protein marker used in forensic seminal-fluid investigations. Because the target is a protein rather than a sperm cell, the assay can support examination of samples in which spermatozoa are absent.

The cassette includes a test line, control line and internal standard corresponding to 4 ng/mL PSA. The reference supports a semiquantitative assessment of marker concentration; it does not measure semen volume or determine when a trace was deposited.

PSM400F/40 is the 40-card laboratory format, while PSM-CS/20 supplies 20 individually equipped crime-scene kits. The manufacturer documents compatibility with stain screening and DNA extraction. PSA may occur in other body fluids, so findings require contextual interpretation and the current instructions.
