For forensic examination of biological traces by trained professionals. Interpret findings with the manufacturer instructions and the laboratory’s validated methods.

Product overview

AmylaseTest detects human alpha-amylase with monoclonal antibodies. It adds a human-protein test to a saliva investigation after visual examination or presumptive stain mapping, with a qualitative result in approximately 10 minutes.

The laboratory format supplies 40 individually packaged cassettes and extraction buffer. The CS format groups a cassette, forensic swab and buffer vial into each of 20 field kits. Both belong to the same saliva-screening family; the photograph shows representative components.

The manufacturer documents compatibility with DNA extraction and STR typing, including recovery from residual buffer or test material. Alpha-amylase can occur in other body fluids, so a positive result requires context; the assay is not an unconditional proof of saliva origin.

  • Direct antibody-based detection of human alpha-amylase.
  • Visual result without a dedicated reader.
  • Laboratory and individually equipped crime-scene formats.
  • Compatible with saliva mapping and subsequent DNA analysis.
The supplied brochure prints an ng/mL unit for sensitivity. Current SERATEC documentation specifies 50 mIU/mL; the catalog follows that current specification.
