Combined human-hemoglobin and D-dimer test for the presumptive differentiation of menstrual and peripheral blood traces.
Read the product overviewFor forensic examination of biological traces by trained professionals. Interpret findings with the manufacturer instructions and the laboratory’s validated methods.
PMB Test brings two blood-associated markers into one cassette. Human hemoglobin supports identification of a blood trace, while D-dimer contributes information relevant to presumptive differentiation between menstrual and peripheral blood.
The supplied brochure and current IFU describe 8-card and 30-card boxes with buffer. PMB/30 is the format highlighted on the current manufacturer product page. Each cassette is paired with an individual extraction-buffer vial.
D-dimer can be elevated in peripheral blood and is not unique to menstrual fluid. The product therefore supports a contextual forensic assessment, not a stand-alone conclusion about the cause of bleeding or events. The manufacturer documents that residual material can be used in subsequent DNA work.
