GlobalFiler IQC retains the GlobalFiler identification-marker set and adds small and large internal quality-control markers. These provide extra context when reviewing incomplete or affected STR profiles.
The IQC signals help assess whether inhibition or degradation may be contributing to the result. They complement the laboratory’s quantification, control and interpretation procedures rather than replacing them.
