The BFID DNA panel targets genomic positions corresponding to coding SNPs in the companion RNA panel. Comparing the two datasets can help associate fluid-specific findings with individual contributors in a mixture.
This is the DNA component of the paired method, not a standalone body-fluid typing assay. Panel-specific software and the RNA results are needed for the combined interpretation.
